If you live in St. Lucie County, north of Crosstown Parkway or Walton Road in Port St. Lucie, you live in District 84. Why do State Legislature elections matter now more than ever?

During the Trump Administration, three highly-conservative Supreme Court Justices were added to the previously balanced court. During the last session of the Supreme Court, these justices proved that they are dedicated to stripping the rights of individuals and the authority of governmental agencies. These rulings push the responsibility of passing laws to protect people back to Congress and the state level.

The current Republican Party, especially in Florida, has shown that it is controlled by politicians with extremist views that marginalize and hurt people. This cannot continue and the only way to stop it is to vote them out. Nowhere is that more important than at the state level.

This election is very important, possibly more important than any election in generations.

Electing pro-democracy candidates is the only way to guarantee that our nation continues in the manner it was intended by our founding fathers.

Florida State Legislators will make decisions about voting and election outcomes. They have a responsibility to the voters to uphold their votes and do what is right for them. They have not been fulfilling this duty and need to be replaced by those who will.
